Richard visits the Skirrid Inn - South Wales

With evidence suggesting the Inn was here during the Norman Conquest in the 11th Century, a few ghosts may be not unexpected, but a more grisly past is credited with spectral visitations.

Used during the past as both a courtroom & an execution place with its’ own oak hanging beam, it’s said that the victims of the rope still appear and is why the Inn is listed as one of Britains’ Most Haunted Pubs.

Richard meets his hero Mr. Harry Martindale at Treasures House in York and Harry tells us the most credible ghost story ever! Richard believes this to be the best ghost story he has evet heard, and also the best ghost story in the world.
Richard also talks to Mr. Alexandra the ghost walker who runs the Original Ghost Walk of York and then the curator of Treasurers House with many more stories of this haunted National Trust Property.

Christmas is traditionally the time for ghost stories. With the coming of winter, dark nights, howling winds, frost and snow, people for hundreds of years have sat around the Christmas fire and told stories of the supernatural. The coming of Radio and
TV heralded a new phase when everyone gathered around one or the other instead of the fire.
For some reason the Christmas ghost story no longer featured in the listings, and this is why I have created this podcast of Christmas Ghost Stories for you to enjoy over the festive period.
But please,
don't have nightmares.
